93 Ex Coupe Wiring Problem. HELP!!!
i have a 93 ej1 with a real bad issue, i got the car like this, idk but it seems like the cars wiring system is connected straight to the battery instead of the fuse box, because every time i wanna turn on the car i have to charge the battery, and when i turn off the car the battery starts to die real fast, i have to leave the radiator fan connected, it even stays on after i turn off the car, and before i even put the key in, it can be on, even the fan, the radio, also, when i connect the battery my lights turn on without me even turning the switch. This issue gotta go, i dont want the car straight to battery cuz i dont wanna be stranded some where. everything thats electric on the car can be on without the the key
So you have a draw on everything. Upload some picture would help, without looking at what some one did to your wiring there is no way of knowing how to fix it.
true, i will upload some pics tomorrow before i go to work, also when i got it it never use to die so quick, i would leave it off and the next day it would turn on, but now it just dies, it could be a battery thing
There is always something connected "directly" to the batt., however the only thing that does not go through the fuse box is the batt. power for the starter motor.
You have what is called a parasitic draw, something is staying on that is not supposed to stay on, to find it...

Now with that said, if something non OEM is connected to the batt., [like an aftermarker amp or fog/running lights] disconnect them before doing the above test.
There is also the possibility the problem is your batt., if the test above does not inducate a parasitic draw, have the batt. checked, most batt./alt. shops will do that for free and while batt. is in the car, it only takes a few min. 94

All I can say is OMFG, that is one ugly cluster F%*K
Head lights on most cars work without the ign. being on, so that is normal, the shitty wiring job on your car is not.
Besides the crappy wiring on the second to last pic, I see what looks like a burnt white/blue lead, burnt wiring is always a problem.
So questions are...
Why is the wiring like that?
What engine is that, the EX did not come with a VTEC engine? 94

the first pic is the kill switch which is on the cover os the fuse box, and the second 1 is where is where connected the third 1 is the ground wire thats under the Starter, i was playing with that and i heard some clicking, i took it off and the car turned off, so i put it back and the car turned on fine, 10 mins later the car turned off and i tried turning it back and it didnt crank, i put gas tried jump starting and still no crank
What I see is in the 2nd pix is a red lead connected to a green/yellow of the PGM-FI Main Relay in the 3rd pix I see you holding a red lead under the dash, no place near the starter, I also see a red lead in the background connected to something but do not know what it is, but it is not the starter, a better pix of it may help.
The PGM-FI Main Relay has nothing to do with the cars starter. 94
