my 91 has never given me a problem in 6 yrs.last night on freeway at 75mph check engine light pops on but didnt think much of it because temp was fine and was still running smooth but about 5 miles later she started chug a lugging and died out..after 10 minutes she fired but wouldnt rev at all but finally came around and i was able to take back off but about every few miles it would start chugging again.started fine this morning with no engine light on and ran good but only lasted a few minutes and went back to the same,bogging,ect.gas was low so added some 93 octane but still same story.i am an idiot at best with car problems so any help at all will be much respected!!thanks..

 

Figure out what code is stored in the computer, post up your results, then somebody can go about figuring out the issue. With the little bit of info you have given, it could be one of many possibilities. check engine should narrow it down

i was convinced it was my TPS and paid the crazy $130 for the DPFI TPS but no changes.then came the Coil,ICM and fuel filter and it still does the same thing..Runs like a dream for 15 minutes then falls flat on its face..I am totally clueless now!!

 

how do i go about finding this code??I was told my car is too old to be scanned because its a 1991..
