82mm Over bor worth it??
The difference between the b16a and b18c motors is like night and day. So would the extra c.c.'s in a b18c over bored to 82mm with some 11.3 : 1 endyn pistions (for example) make as much of a difference over the same compression pistions with the stock bore.
Also would it number the days of my engine. If i did so with out resleeving the block as long as i keep the rev limiter at 8500k???
One more point... NOSsss and forced induction are not in the plans. Not that they are bad things. Just not my bag baby.

It's probably only $100 more on top of what you would be spending on same size pistons for the over bore. With the great octane over there and only 11.3:1 why stop there ? 84mm would still be pretty safe, as long as your dumping the right fuel in.

from what I have been told you would be
dnagerously close to breaking a sleeve with
11.5:1+CR and 82mm. maybe a closed
deck with coolant passages would help,
but heck if you are going to go that far...
81 - 85+ is possible on say a GEN2 JG
block treatment for $750 exchanged with
iron sleeves and an aluminum block guard
pressed into the block and decked .0010"
they way this block is dyno proven to
850 dyno whp using larger bores and FI.
and yes folks the BG has coolant passages
lined up with the head gasket.

Im going to bringing this engine back to California when my tour here is over. Thats why im not going for the full set up cuz the pump gas sucks in cali +smog

B20's have a totally different Sleeve in them..
I'm very interested in this thread i just got the news today that i had to have my block bored to .75mm to get rid of a bad scare.. So much for the .25 overbore JDM ITR Pistons
... Is there anyone out there that makes a .75 ( i know i could get custom) ??? I would rather not bore it anymore unless i had to. Has anyone out there put 100K miles on a engine with an 82MM Bore ?? the more info the better guys i don't want to put this Engine back together and have a sleeve split in like 30K .. Thanks..

well im getting my gsr sleeved and bored out to 86 mm so i sure hope that its worth it. if anyone else is running this setup please let me know how it does on the track. Its not a daily driver so Im not too concerned about it going for 200k miles or anything. Plus i dont wanna have to pay for 118 octane fuel whenever I drive to school.
hello,
