2003 civic high rpms
In a bumper to bumper traffic the rpms start going above 1000 rpms up to 3000 rpms. The only codes the scanner shows are for the egr valve and canister. In a normal traffic my car works perfect. Can some one give me a clue?
my car is manual transmission and with the clutch I control the rpms , but I am burning my clutch.

1. Do not use your clutch to bring the RPMs down. Thats dumb.
2. SInce you have a code for evap, Id be inclined to think it was involved in some way. You may want to try unplugging it and see if it changes anything. You may also be having an issue with the IACV. Google "honda-tech how to clean IAC valve".
