2000 ex quit running while parked
Hi, I have been working on this car for 2 days now. My son drove it to lunch, parked it and 2 hrs later it won't start.
I put in new plugs, can smell the fuel and hear the pump. With a plug in the wire and cranking the engine I get a strong looking spark.
The coil reads the proper ohms but it has light grey tracks near the steel framework around the windings.
Is it possible that I am losing the spark under compression due to a weak coil? If I put a timing light on the wire it wont light the strobe when you crank it. Thats any wire.
We checked the cel code and it blinked 9 long times. When I cleared it never came back.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks
