Icon2 Stop Lamp Failure Sensor Help

I have a 99 Accord Coupe LX and I got pulled over yesterday because my left and right break lights weren't working. The third one works fine so I know it isn't the fuse or break switch. I am now trying to figure out exactly WHERE the sensor is so I can get to it (if that is possible) without taking it to the dealership. I also saw that the part itself might run me about $60 Can anyone assist me with some info or a manual?

If you have a DMM, pull the bulbs out and and place the black lead on a good ground and the red lead in the terminal for the Green wire, check to see that you have battery voltage (12.4-12.7V) if you don't then you will have to chase the B+ side wire back till you find 12V. if you do have voltage then check your ground, it's on the right side, rear, of the trunk under the carpet, it has about 4 terminals with black wires connected to the body.

FYI: if it is your ground a faster way to check is make sure your turn signals, and reverse lights come on, the ground for the high mount, is seperate.

I dont have a DIMM but I think I know someone that does. Aside from that, I do know my blinkers and reverse lights work. The high mount break light in the rear window and my left and right are out. The only break light that is seen working is the one in my spoiler. Any new thoughts with that info?
