My personal advice, stay away from Skunk-2. For $250 you might as well save up another 50-70 and get some ground controls w/custom spring rates. Or just go on e-bay coils. I honestly can't imagine the Skunk 2's riding too well on stock shocks, but the Koni/GC might have a chance with custom or OTS rates.
Btw, what shocks are you running/plan to run?

I have Skunk2 Coil over and have tracked my car for 5 years and had no issues. And I started off on stock shocks
does make a great product and that is what I will go with next. I don't really think you can go wrong as an average person with Skunk2 it is quality parts.
Before everyone starts spewing out answers and giving opinions. What is the purpose of this car? What do you plan to do with it?

I have been rolling on skunk2 coilovers for about a year and a half now...
When i first put them on my stocks, they were so stiff that they would not let my shocks work properly and the ride was really bouncy
After 1 month, my stock shocks were done for. After this, i decided to get tokico illuminas. Those shocks handled these springs quite well on the 3,4, and 5 settings
I like my ride now, but sometimes on really bad roads the stiffness starts to get to me but once i take a hard corner, i remember why i deal with a stiff ride...

It's not the stiffness factor I'd be concerned about. It's the spring rates. OP mentioned that he wants to roll on stock shocks and as mentioned above (which is why I suggested GC's for the price), the spring rates for Skunk 2's off the shelf may be too high for stock shocks resulting in a blown shock. Especially if this car gets daily driven (mixture of smooth/rough roads and driving).
Also, to the OP, within your price range of $250 with stock shocks I would just recommend getting some quality lowering springs like H&R OE sports (had those on illumina's and they rode nice). Just make sure you check the spring rates beforehand and ensure that they won't be too high for OEM shocks. If you're planning to upgrade your shocks, however, that's an entirely different ballgame
