Default PIC Performance?

Howdy,

Could anyone tell me if these guys are still in the game? I have gone to there website and e-mailed, and called multiple times, with no response. I have a set of their select coilovers and looking to re-valve with stiffer springs. Maybe there is another outfit that can help? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hope so, I 've been in the maket for coilovers for my new project and send an email to Soja Motoring about ordering and sugested spring rates and this was their reply:

jsu@suja1motoring.com

Jun 28 (1 day ago)

to me

Unfortunately no orders for pic currently. We'll see if there are more in the future. Stance is a pretty good option if you're interested. Or the proven koni/gc combo.
Not comforting. Stance? Really? But, I ordered from their (not so user friendly) website yesterday anyway. Fingers crossed it doesn't go the way of AMR. Hoping for a shipping conformation email tomorrow.

The guys are still in the game. After a lengthy conversation with Al about 2 months ago, he was talking about how they planned on revamping the line and going through the proper channels to make sure stock and parts are appropriately available. So, with that information, it can be inferred that they will get the lineup back together sometime later on in the year. I do know that they discontinued a few lines in the Apex series. But I can't remember which exactly at the time.

In my opinion they did the right thing; Stopped taking orders, didn't make promises that they could not possibly keep in this day & age of instant gratificationization (aka "Amazonian syndrome"), and stopped to re-evaluate.

So, it may mean you have to find an alternative for your needs as of now.

If that's the case than +1 for PIC. So many companies don't make that call and you see otherwise good companies alienating all of their clients *cough* AMR...

I've really enjoyed my PIC bushings and I've been hoping they are still in the game.

I ordered a set of coilovers Sunday night direct from the Pic website and they'll be here on Thursday so, they are still in the game. I understood Suja Motoring to be their larger distributor and partner. I hope they didn't have a falling out, seem as though much of their r&d is through them.

Thanks,
I have three sets of their springs if you are interested. A new 10k set and used 12k and 14k

Did you ever receive your coilovers?

Bummer, things sounded good from what "TheShodan" had said earlier. I hope they figure it out and get back in the game.

Sure did, they shipped pretty quick. I'm running 8k front 10k rear with a GSR sway bar, I won't buy a sticky tire and wheel setup until spring but, I'm impressed so far after some mountain driving and a couple of local autocross events.

I'm running PIC Select 12k front, 10k rear. Still a bit soft, but my car is mostly track events, hardly any city driving. 26mm front/22mm rear sway bars, harness bar, trunk braces, etc. Hoosier A6 / Hankook RS3 tires.

Sweet! I am glad that they are still around, now if I could just get in touch with them.

That is what I have been running except I have an ASR 32mm rear bar and it rotates very nicely. I want to try 10k front and 12k the rear and see how that rotates. from what I have read you can do + or - 2k without having to revalve.

Yeah we're still around. No inventory, but we're working on that. Call with questions please, some things have changed.

Short story is we got f'ed to the tune of $30k by two separate companies that carried our products. For some out there, that may not seem like a lot of money. For a small company like us that relies on a reputation for high quality products, we need to start with high quality components and manufacturing processes which means high cost, which means these folks nearly killed us.

Yeah, thanks for sharing. I went to order and was pissed off that everything was out of stock for so long and had to go another route instead due to time constraints. I was impressed with the last complete set I bought though and hope you continue to put out quality products. Now that I know what happened I am glad you guys are just refusing orders / listing as unavailable. I just went through the "yeah we will take your money but who knows when your product will ship" crap to the tune of $2,000 and that took two months...

Just want to chime in and say that I've been talking to someone over at PIC and they've been very helpful thus far. They're willing to offer advice even on products that aren't theirs which a lot of companies will either ignore or bad mouth. Great service from them and I haven't even purchased from them yet BUT I have a set of coil overs for my CRX with my name on them
