I have just installed ground controls on my 95 hatch. Everything is on well, but it seems like when I go over small bumps in the rear I hear clunking noises. Is their supposed to be dampening between the shock body and sleeve?

Also when I go over bumps sometimes I hear a loud Squeek? Any thoughts to this.

clunk sound could be the shock/spring buttoming out if u have it too low. that or the springs are hitting up againt the top hats somehow.

 

did you try to use the dust boot covers? if so, thats whats making noise, just remove them completely.

 

Mine do the same thing too, I think a have a washer clinking on something. Re-Torque all your bolts too, that had me making noise one time too

 

Hmmm, or loose items in your trunk? I hear it too but I just assume that its all that stuff back there. Oh wells.
