Default Ground control and agx problem

Alright guys The problem that I am having is I can not get the front up higher then just over one finger gap.Ive taken the suspension apart to double check everything is correct contacted gc and they said their should be no problem with raising it.

The car is a 1992 integra with off the shelf gc rates, That may be the problem so with the car jacked up I adjust the spring perch as much as I can, almost putting preload on the spring then lower the car slowly watching the spring compress and the bump stop which is cut over half the way stop it from going any lower.

So what im guessing is their off the self rates are to low in the front to be able to keep the front of the integra up.

Any ideas on what to do would be great and also what would be the highest spring rates you would throw on the agx's?

I doubt it's the rates you have a problem with. What is the length of the springs? I had KYB's and a GC setup for many years and I was able to go from higher than stock to slammed. Give the specs of the spring too. Pictures could help too.

Well, if you want higher than that, you could always preload the spring more.

With the car on the ground, remove the nuts off the top of the shocks. Jack up car until spring comes free, but the very end of the shock shaft is still just in the upper mount (but not poking out the top). Adjust the spring further up until you get to the limit of hand preloading, and lower the car back down. The weight of the car will preload the spring, and you can install the top nuts with it back on the ground.

My DC2 was set to the highest I could get without preload, and I have barely more than a 1 finger gap up front. I'm also running GC extended upper mounts, which act as droop limiters in this case preventing me from going higher without preload.

yeah, when trying to get back to near stock ride heights with sleeve overs, you need to preload the spring, just like the stock springs are preloaded.

tunernoob has a good method of getting as much as possible using the weight of the car. using a typical spring compressor is not feasible with race springs. so that pretty much limits the amount of preload you can set.

GC are not made to get up to stock ride height.

Ill give that a try,Im not looking for stock ride height just dont want to run on the bumpstops.

Bump stops have been cut. So im guessing that in order to get more shocks travel ill need top hats or try the fork trick?

well fork trick will also lower your car more.

better to go with top hats.

but really, you should be fine with shock travel if you have it as high as it can go already. its not a 1:1 shock:wheel motion ratio.
