function7 front lca
Since the omnipower lca thread recently was bumped, I figured to see if there are any updates on this upcoming product. I am eager to reduce unsprung weight on my car. It would be great if the front shock forks could also be reproduced in aluminum to further save weight.
I understand that F7 is testing them -- they will not release an unsafe product, and as hard as I try, F7 does not openly discuss any of their products that have not been released.
Sorry - no updates. This is proving quite challenging due to the forces involved in the front axle. We're still going through several prototype and have not found the right balance of safety, longevity and performance. We're going back and forth between several new prototypes to address critical safety issues.

i was just asking about the omnipowers..are they not safe? but i would love to buy the fronts if f7 releases them...especialy with spherical bushings for dragracers to reduce wheel hop...
You guys could PM function7 to see if they have any more info that can share with you.
From what I have noticed they won't openly discuss things that they are currently making.
The fact that it has been so long should speak highly of Function7. For not just throwing crap out and letting it go.

Our company policy prevents us from discussing products in development in any specific detail.
This is a product we have been working on for several years but have never released. Every product we make undergoes an extensive set of tests (each prototype goes through over 2 years of accelerated testing) and only when our engineers determine that the products meet our high safety and quality standards, it will then be released for sale to the public.
Currently, we have no ETA on this product.

thats half of your question. If it will ever be released. who knows?

Will it ever be released? According to the last post, that's a matter to be determined AFTER the testing is complete. It's still too soon to say.
