EF alignment question
So I just finished my rear disc swap using 90-93 integra RTA's with brand new bushings. I go to get it aligned and on one side they needed to max out the adjustment to get it just in spec. I remember before the alignment on both sides was right within the middle of the range, it seemed odd that is was way at the end on one side, like 3/4 of an inch from where it was before. Nothing has happened that may have bent anything, like I said, the alignment was fine before I got them on. Anything I could check that might have screwed up? I don't want to go have the chassis checked if I don't have to. It's bad because now I have no range of adjustment for more toe out on that side and it's not right like that anyways, not to mention barely within spec. If I do need to get the chassis checked, how much does that run and what kind of place would do that?
how do you know the alignment was fine before? when was the last time you got an alignment?
and its very typical that these used trailing arms are bent because theyre taken from cars in the junkyard. most of the cars i see in the junkyard were involved in some wreck that totalled them, so its actually hard to find a straight set of suspension parts, especially trailing arms. lots of shady sellers dont care and arent particular about evaluating the condition before they sell it.

hmm, i checked out both sides more closely, the other side wasn't that far from maxed. Was I supposed to use the DA comp arms? I know the TA bushings are bigger, but they bolted in the same spot, but it could still make it a little different than before, if the bushings ares a little different in relation to the TA than they were on my old arms. Is this a possibility? I know the new TA bushings are in correctly, I checked to make sure they were flush to the back like the old ones.

The easist way is to compare them side by side either with eachother, or with old ones. The major problem is that you have to remove them to do so. Also, things like brake assemblies make trailing arms hard to hold next to eachother for a good comparison.
Also, if you still have your old stock trailing arms, you could try swaping the rear-disc spindles onto them. If your old setup was really straight like you said it was, this will cure the problem. You will need to purchase special torx bits to get the bolts off that hold the spindle to the trailing arm, but it can be done (probably pretty easily too)...

Thanks for the tip, I just think it'd be odd that both sides bent the same amount, because they were both close to maxed. Are the DA comp arms any longer? That would solve my problem, because I know the DA trailing arm bushings are bigger and I think the part of them that bolts to the car that runs through the center of the bushing is different, which could affect the toe. I bet a lot of people just leave the comp arms on the car and don't bother with an alignment, I took them off the change the bushings. I might try the DA comp arms, if they are longer, because the trailing arms are not exactly the same between the EF and DA.
Please keep us posted on weather or not you find any differences. The DA is a really odd bundle of parts, and most people (including myself) don't know a lot about it...
