diy lowering help

Default diy lowering help

so i did a search but would like to confirm what i read. if i want to lower my civic do i just change the springs and get it aligned?

Upgrading the shocks is also necessary. Stock shocks don't take well to lowering, and shocks like Tokico HP (blue) and KYB GR-2 shocks can't handle anything but the mildest of drops.
