ok i see A LOT of brands of lower control arms for sale and im wondering what brands have advantages over others and why. do not just say i have these and they work well. there are blox control arms for 100 bucks but the omni's are 200. i usually buy omni stuff but im not goin to drop an extra hundred dollars just for the name. if the bushings are better or there is any reason certain ones are better, PLEASE inform me. thanks in advance guys. oh and im looking to get an asr rear subframe brace and probably the type r rear sway bar.

Most people will say stock ones.

Only advantages of after market are lighter weight and bearing design. Only a few manuf. make good bearings in there LCA's.

PasswordJDM makes a Spherical Rear Lower Control Arm they will help maintain a consistent suspension geometry on hard cornering therefore getting more pavement contact from your tires.

skunk 2 features low deflection polyurethane bushing which act as bearings for quicker response and a more positive feel. By allowing the arm to rotate freely about the bushing, Skunk2 eliminated the tearing and unseating commonly found with fixed rubber bushings.

for a street car, oem would be best because of the level of engineering, the proven reliability of the bushings, and their steel composition that allows you to get home if the arm gets bent.

Re: which control arms and why?
Many aftermarket LCA's have the sway bar end link hole in the incorrect location, forcing you to use inferior-quality adjustable end links if you run a rear sway bar. Function7 and I think maybe Skunk2 are some of the few that have the end link hole in the correct location for the EG/DC chassis.

If I were to get aftermarket LCA's (which I probably wouldn't), I would personally go with F7's.

I'm trying to trade my Blox lca's, (came with the car when I bought it) for some stock ones. Hahaha

I doubt these things stand a chance once the solo season starts up in March.

F7s.

I've got Megan racing ones on my race right now and had to shim the sway bar to work.
