B18a1 swap in a 90si hb
How do i go about putting this motor in and is it worth it..Will i lose the vtech should i just grab a b16 this is my first time moving into the killer bees so can somebody help me out in a big way.. Im just new guy lost in the sauce need HELP please A step by step or something
1. No replacement for displacement. (CRVTEC anyone?)
2. The B16a/b's , B18c's head flows a lot better than anything else.
3. Go buy the new sport compact car for a detailed guide on how to convert your crappy b18a or b18b into a VTEC snortin' pimp motor.
4. You'll need a Hasport EF motor/tranny mount kit plus the shift linkages. Rear mount, axles and hubs can be purchased at the junkyard from a 90-93 db or da Integra I think others too. You get good brakes from the Integra.
5. Your gonna have to convert to multiport fuel injection. If allready great wire up the vtec and find an obdo VTEC computer or a aftermarket one. Do a search on google for "DPFi to MPFI" and i'm sure youll find somethin golden. I think someone by the name of chaco has a good guide.
6. Keep the clutch non-hydraulic cause it will make the conversion alot easier.
Ummm.....

a b16 will be no easier then a b18 same amount of parts required except for the b16 you will have to wire up vtec. if you have a rebuilt d15 you could drop that in with out any new mounts or shift linkage. and you could use the tranny you have in there right now. its all up to you. just search this site and all your questions will be answered. b series swaps have been covered big time. check this site for more info. http://www.geocities.com/speed...p.htm

if you cant spell VTEC right, and dont know the LS is nonVTEC, you shouldnt be doing this swap yourself
