I'm still a newbie with hondas so bare with me....

I got a 99 civic coupe EX....stock D16Y8 SOHC VTEC motor with nothing done to it. Still stock parts, cept some belts that have been replaced, regular maintenance, etc. The car has 145k miles and I was wondering can you really tell if you've lost power without having to race someone, dyno, etc. by just driving it.

And also how much power could I really lose from flooring it. Redlines 6800(?) and I take it up to 6000 like 1-2 times a day on average, some days none at all, some days a lot more when I get in a crazy mood.
