Default Car not doing so good

So i was driving the other day and thanks to the good shitty roads of oklahoma and not enough light on this section of road i hit a dip at about 60 and the whole front end of my car just goes BOOM!!!! Well i get home and i am like well nothing is leaking so i must be ok. Well i get in it the next day and my exhaust is no were to be heard. I mean you can hear it but it is pretty dam quite and it used to be alot louder. Accleration is shitty and it is shifting like crap. So i look under the car and notice that my headpipe/downpipe is pretty scratched up so i am like great i pinched the pipe. Well i take it to the local muffler shop that i use all the time and the new dumbass goes ahh that isnt bad enough to hurt anything.

Dont get my wrong but i was always taught that the smallest **** up to a exhaust pipe can cause the flow and gases to mess up when leaving the motor.

So can anybody hook me up with some ideas on what my problem could be. The pipe doesnt look to be pinched but it is scratched to hell and looks out of shape somewhat.

Thanks in advance

It is a 95 Accord LX

Oh man, I had almost the exact same thing happen to me, just different city here in Oklahoma. My downpipe is also scratched and pushed in a little. Took it too a few shops and they all said it's not that bad. Still, I don't like the idea of it being pinched like that but the only way to fix it that I know of is to replce the downpipe. The mechanic may have told you it isn't that bad, but if you can't hear the exhaust as you did before then I'd get a second opinion. I didn't have the acceleration/shifting problems you seem to have. Maybe check a little further back on the exhaust to see if there are any other problems.

I hear you about the shitty *** roads here though...
