I have a 2000 SH. I was told the skunk 2 intake manifold wont fit right for the 5th gen prelude SH. I dont see why it shouldn't. Is there a difference?? Just making sure before I purchase it.

 

I think it messes up ur ATTS stuff, cuz it will throw a CEL for the lack of EGR , not really sure though, cuz I dont have a 5th gen or an SH

 

It will throw a CEL light, and with the CEL comes the ATTS.

No idea why they tied to two together. I believe i still have the paper that skunk sent with the IM thats states" if you have a type SH, this wont work with your car" or some non-sense such as that.

I havent seen dyno plots for a stock motor with just the manifold eaither, i would predict not fantastic results.

 

check out the main thread in the essential links for all of your questions. this one is probly gonna be deleted. all OBDII preludes are gonna throw CELs with the Skunk.. not just the Type SH. so in a way it was meant for OBDI only very smart Skank2.. very smart

 

It should work just fine on the SH, I dont know why they are saying that. The intake manifold on both SH and Base is the same design. Its just gonna be a biatch to remove it because of the ATTS unit in the way (the bolt for the manifold bracket anyway)

 

That sux yea. I took apart my motor twice already for rebuilds. (first time i did wrong) My car runs good now. I took apart the intake manifold from the head already too b/c I had to change the knock sensor. (this is when the motor is already in the car) Is there any more opinions about skunk 2 intake manifold for 5th gen SH??

If there's too much problems with it. Where Can I get a Euro r intake manifold? Or does anybody have a good clean one for sale. I am willing to buy it if I dont go for the skunk 2 IM. Thanks
