why would it matter....what do you want 2hp for. just throw boost....then you can choose how much hp you gain....till your motor blows from too much psi

Are z6, y8, and d15b camshafts interchangable?

you can put it in there but it will suck ***. i had a mini me with a z6 head and a cam gesar and had it all adjusted properly. i heard the same thing that a y8 cam gear is a good cam swap for the z6 head. well to start the y8 cam has was ground on what appears to a 1.5 index. so after i installed and adjusted all the valves i had to correct the cam timing again and then reset the ignition timing. got everything going like it should be and took it for a ride around around the block. the cra made no power under vtec and evem when vtec cam on it stilll sucked ***. i turned right back around and went back to the shop and pulled it out. i fuigured it was a problem something like this....... the y8 has a btter lift and duration cam on paper. but the y8 head is a different height, the rocker arms have a different ratio etc. so the cam lobes must really affect when the valves open. so i guess that it was opening them out of time even though the cam gear and igntion timing was all set properly.

all in all it's a huge waste of your time, don't do it.

I read somewhere that you can (search it's there I know for sure), but you need to skip one tooth, don't know which way though.

timing on y8 = more adanved then z6. (5 degrees). you might gain some high end, lose some at low end.
