i just picked up a mint 53'000 mile civic 1.6i-16. its only to be used to get me about until my eg6 is up and running with a turbo. but it looks so sweet with my vti alloys on, it would be a shame to not lower it a couple of inches. what would be my best cheap option (springs only) of lowering it 40-60mm. how low can i go on stock dampers without making them fail too quickly. as i said, i am doing this for the looks of the car and not the handling as it is only a runabout.

then there's the exhaust....its the standard honda one and it blowing like a winner....what more can i say.

basically i need some brands/models of products and websites where i would be able to purchase them.

also i think i saw someone on here selling ecu chips for $30. does anyone have one of these? how do you rate it? i understand that a custom chip would be best but in the uk they're considerably more than $30 and the car will be virtually standard anyway.

one last point is that after some hard driving the other night my rev limiter has dissapeared and my d16a9 seems to love screaming round to 8000rpm. i know the 7200 limit is there for a reason so what rpms would be regarded as safe. the limiter does come back sometimes.
