I have a 96 hatch and currently have Koni yellows with ground control coilovers. The ride is good, but my front wheels get shoved into the wheel well hard and way too often. The gap between the wheel well and tires is enough for me to stick my fingers in between. I see others roll this low and not have the same problem as me.
I have been thinking of switching to a better set-up, but not sure what will fix my problem. I was thinking the Tein Flex or Cusco damper. Anyone have thoughts, suggestions, or can relate? I have been battling my suspension for years and really want to eliminate this problem. Help is greatly appreciated.

This is worse than rubbing theliner. My wheels are getting slamed into the wheel well. So many time the pinch bar has worn through the plastic lining.

what model car do you have?
My bad (96 Hatch)
I would say to think about getting a front sway bar to stiffen that front suspension up. but that is going to give you a little more understeer so you may want to think about getting a rear sway bar too. Myabe just try and find some SI control arms and get an SI front and rear sway bar. Or maybe you should look in to getting your Koni's revalved (for stronger dampening) and maybe look into getting some stiffer springs.
also you may look in to replacing some of your older more worn out bushings with some new ones (OEM, or Energy, etc)
Just trying to give you some other ideas befor you go off buying a $1000 coilover that probly wouldn't help much anyways.... cough cough ...Tein Flex... cough cough

You bring valid points to the table. I've been wondering if switching out the old control arms and bushings would be any help, but never found anyone that could say. My buddy who is great with suspension knowledge is rolling my car today while I roll his. He has Zeal B2 set-up and I love the stiff *** springs it has. The ride is bouncy, but that is what I want. So now I am thinking of buying his 5 month old Zeal set-up, and hopefully the stonger spring rate will help my problem. If not then I will look into swithing out the bushings, then control arms til problem solved. Thx

A pothole is when the bad noise happens, when it sounds like the wheels slam into the wheelwell, but it doesn't have to be a big pothole. Okay, here is a good example. The huge metal sheets that are place on the road to cover a hole will make this happen.
As for turns the front tires rub the liner, but not too sharp of a turn will make it happen. It is way too frequent. Too soft up front, but for the ground control's I think my spring rate is 380 up front. My car shouldn't lean so much for as low as it is.
Also there is too much play in my steering wheel. It is not as responsive as it used to be.
