Climate control light not on, need to know what wire it is

Default Climate control light not on, need to know what wire it is

in my 97 ek , the climate control lights are off and i checked behind it and there are plugs and there is A WIRE.....a little black wire that is cut off, is that the power wire for the lights?....thanks

It's ground. So technically since it's a DC system, yes the current comes from that direction. Irrelivently of the mollecular level though, you'll likely want to hook that up.

Generally, if you see 2 wires that look like they were one at one time? you probably want to hook those up again.

no no, every plug is hooked up, just the black wire is cut off, is the black wire the ground?

black wire is ALWAYS the ground, unless somebody exctended a wire and used a black wire of the same guage. just sell your car, its easier
