Default Adjusing my clutch cablle.

I rerouted my clutch cable. I backed off the round **** from the bracket and slid the cable out of the brackets. When I put it back on do I just tighten that **** down as far as I can get it and thats it or is there something else I have to do? Does it self adjust after a few miles?

I'm pretty sure thats all you do. just be carefull tightening it to tight. I broke 2 of those nuts in a week because I did that.

Just pull up lightly on the lever, adjust the nut the entire way down and check the pedal... move according to what type of feel you like, but there is nothing tricky to it if that is what you are essentially asking.

Basically, yes thats what I wanted to know. I wasnt sure if i adjust it to where I feel its good or if there were certain specs to make sure of so that it engages and disengages properly. I suppose as long as it goes in gear and doesnt grind, its good.

I also found this and it tells you exactly what to do.

the heat isn't that intense.. but i did notice it made the pedal effort increase and it also chewed my rubber bushing (the one with the bump that holds the nut in place).
