every one tells me i need 91 knuckles off a civic ex to make the integra disc brake work up front without messing up my camber. what the hell is a knuckle because i have no idea and neither do any of my friends. can any of you please give me a pic? thanks.
The knuckle is the piece that holds the rotor on; the axle goes through it.
It connects the upper control arm to the lower control and the tie rod also mounts on the knuckle.
Some people refer to it as a 'spindle' but that's not really correct.
If you need a set, I can get them for $160 shipped.

That's the price I've always charged for the knuckles. Most people COMPLAIN about it being too expensive and I stopped selling them for a few weeks because of it. Truth of the matter is I'm not making much at all. $10-20 tops after shipping; which is more than fair considering the amount of labor involved in finding them and pulling them.
You may be thinking it's cheap for the knuckle, rotor, and caliper. This is just the knuckles. The rotors and calipers jack the shipping price up so high most people don't want to pay it, and the Integras are easy to find to source those pieces off of.

They allow you to bolt on the ~10.3" rotors and large calipers from the Civic EX/Integra cars.
It's basically in the spacing that allows the caliper to bolt on correctly and lets the rotor fit.
You can use 90/91 Civic EX, Civic Si (99+), or non ITR Integra calipers and rotors. They're all pretty much the same. I also believe the 94/95 Civic Si that had ABS has the large front brakes. Don't quote me on that.

The Si had the smaller rotors just like the DX.
I think it's a 9.5" rotor.
The EX and the Integra share the 10.3" rotor as mentioned before.

Whoa! that is cheap! Are you talking about DA or EX knuckles for 160 shipped?
I can NEVER find EX's at the junk yards! Alot of DA's though

The main difference is the size and location of the caliper bracket mount (the holes) and the position relative to the hub. It allows 10.3" rotor and the big calipers whereas the non EX knuckles do not. The stuff just doesn't fit.
They don't LOOK much different, but it's what's needed to get the job done unless you go with DA knuckles.

EX calipers are larger than the other 88-91 Civic calipers.
Although they *may* [I can't remember for sure and I do not have EX and non EX calipers with me to compare] share the same brake pads, the calipers are beefier and I'm sure have a greater clamping force and less flex.
EX calipers slightly differ from 99/00 Civic Si calipers which both slightly differ from the Integra calipers.
They are all roughly the same size, though, and I'm sure the small differences [in shape]are mostly due the size and style of wheel offered on their respective platforms.
The Civic EX does use the smallest brake pad out of all the 'big' calipers, though. Not by much. I think I measured that the Integra pads were 1/2" longer.

what do you mean honda calipers that could fit 4 pot?
You mean are there any 4 piston Honda calipers?
If so, I don't think so. The largest offered by Honda (to my knowledge) are the 2 piston NSX/Legend calipers. Those are for ~11.1" rotors.
The newest Hondas have REALLY big calipers, but I don't know how to go about making them fit on the older knuckles as I've never seen a pair up close.
