1988 B20A5 into a Civic hatchback
Hey can someone help me i dont know much of hondas.
I recently bought a 88 Prelude for 100 dollars, Origionally i bought it for the tires it had on it(brandnew). Well I crashed my car(92 civic) and i was going to send the prelude to the junkyard. Lately I had some time on my hands, since i lost my license and my car. So i pulled the motor out of the Prelude and i want to find a 91 civic hatchbach to put the prelude motor in. My question and problem is what do i have to save out of the prelude in order to be able to stick it in the 91 civic.
The Prelude has an automatic trans, and i want to make it a stick shift car. so i was wondering what types of trannys i can use with the motor and also what do i have to save the from the prelude. ECU? Wire harnesses? PLZ help me and enlighten a Honda noob.

That definitely wont work unless you do some custom stuff. The B-series engines in Preludes are more like F and H series engines than the B series that go in civics and integras. So basically, you're trying to stuff an H series engine into your civic.
