New to Honda world needs help!
I just total my 2k celica gts last week. Now I'm going to buy a Crx and planning to drop a b16a or B18c in it. The Crx i'm getting is a HF. Will i have any problem? I heard that the CRX si will fit right in with B16a engine. What other step i need to take? I'm getting the car tomorrow. Please help. Thank you very much.

Ok, since you are getting an hf the wiring will be easier than if you had a dx. You only will have to wire up VTEC solenoid, VTEC oil pressure, secondary O2 sensor(if necessary), and the knock sensor. You will need a mount kit... http://www.hasport.com or http://www.hcpengineering.com You will need to modify the shift linkage or buy one from hasport or hcp. There are some other minor mods that need to be done but overall it is more difficult than a ZC swap but more rewarding from what I hear. I am in the midst of doing a b16 swap into my 4dr. Hasport has some good info on their website about the install.
This is a good site too: http://b16a.honda-perf.org/theswap.html
Good Luck

no matter what your going to need a mount kit, modify your harness, shiftlinkage and you will also need dx or si knuckles...i have a b16 in my hf and the thing hauls ***....hf is the lightest model...good luck with your swap
oh yah by the way the hf has a wire for the ecu that goes into pin b11...do not use it for the b16 it will make your ecu throw a code 6(ect sensor)
Thanks for that info big pete. I completely forgot about the different knuckles on the hf and I never knew about the wire in the b11 slot on the ecu. Thanks.
