Default grounding kits/oil dipstick

Hi i just recently purchased a circle earth grounding kit. It didnt really come with any instructions but where it should be grounded. The kit came with a central plate for the grounds that connects to the battery. I grounded it on the intake manifold, ALtenator, vavle cover, Distribution block, body. the car ran awesome for the 10 mins it was alive(yes i actually felt a difference), but then the battery light came on. i couldnt figure out what it was when my car finally died due to lack of power. i pinpointed teh problem which was the black cap wasnt put on the altenator. when i did put it on sparks flew. so i didnt try to force it on till my friend came to give me a jump and tools to fix this problem. when he did come i unhooked teh battery adn put the cap back on the altenator. PUt the cables up nothing happend no lights not nothing. i thought i fried my electrical system and was about to give up. but my hazards worked and nothing else so i still had hope. after 30 mins of checking everything and every fuse i found out i blew the battery fuse under the hood. i went and bought this new fuse put it in and blam blew again. so i when and bought another one and TOOK out the ground from the altenator to the battery, put the fuse in, got in the car and the car started right no no jump or anything needed. So what was that i was grounding too.....and where should i ground the car or grounding points. one more question.....my dipstick for my crx doesnt seem long enough...the car has no leaks or doesnt seem like it burns much oil. when i first got the car i checked for oil and the dipstick said it was completely dry so i dump a quart in it and drove it home and did an oil change to my surprise 4 quarts of oil came out of it. So is the dipstick wrong for my car? or do i have a clogged oil hole? thx guys btw i drive a 91 crx Si

don't know about the ground thing, but to me, it sounds like the dipstick is right, the ef's hold 4.2 quarts of oil. If you looked at the dipstick and it was dry, and then you put a quart in it, that could take it up to 4 quarts. At 3 quarts of oil in the car, it wouldn't read at the dipstick.....when you chage the oil again, put in the 4.2 quarts of oil and see what it reads....that should be full.....

Black cap on alternator???
Where?
Is #13 what you are talking about?????

I hope you aren't talking about the white wire.
That's the power wire and it runs right up to your underhood fuse box.
You should NOT ground that at all.

i thought the power was teh connector? i grounded it to this screw that was already there which i thought was a factory ground. a black mushroom type cap covers it with a wire. well i blew teh battery fuse 2 times..... everything works great now. i think at least. i cant find that part on that diagram but it sticks right up when you look down at it.

and i forgot...so it means i still have oil right when it doesnt read on the dipstick? when i did change it with 4 quarts of oil it was barely reading. and the reason why i ask is because my oil light flashed twice the past 24 hours but not for longer then like 1 sec. might of been my electrical problem i caused:-D

yeah dude...you grounded your alternator. that is why it went up like it did. don't do that-it's bad. use that diagram above and never ground the hot side of a circuit.

If I wire my grounds like the diagram, do I still leave the stock grounds on?

personally, i think those earth kits are junk, my b16 takes 4qts +/- w/ my remote oil press sender and about 3feet of line... let me know if your earth kit does anything... mine did nothing...

u want to ground...

vtec solenoid,
intake manifold,
valve cover
batt
