I was wondering what rods I should be using to weld 1/8inch steel with an arc welder ? thanks danny

 

What welding positions? Clean or dirty? Do the welds have to look good? DC or AC/DC machine?

This link should help you choose the right electrode. Typically the thickness of the electrode should be equal to or less than your thinnest piece.
