I am very to newb to the potential of a GSR vs a TYPE R.... I have a 93 integra Ls special sitting waiting for something to happen to it.... the engine is stock(180,000miles) and i want to invest my money wisely(4gz to invest)... I would love a TYPE R but I can't afford it so I am deciding whether to rebuilt my LS engine and turbo it... or invest in a GSR and eventually turbo that>? THis newb needs some help guys... I would love to get comments from both sides. Thanks.
if u know u cant afford a type R motor and you posted here because....???? I woul go to the regular integra form and ask for help there. Another option is LS vtec....but for my 2 cents look into turboing ur ls motor

dont get ls vtec. there can be a lot of problems if u dont do it rite. also 4g u can probably find a type r engine already. but if u dont think u can get one for 4g i suggest u get another ls engine and turbo it

I agree. if you're going to turbo it anyway, then keep your current motor. Not worth it to do a swap to get vtec and then turbocharge it.
