rc injector leaking gas??? help
Well, the other day my injector started leaking gas from the seal between the rubber o ring and the injector itself, i checked it and i am almost 100 percent sure that is because the rubber washer that goes between the manifold and the injector was broken. the question i have is where can i get a replacement for this?? I have rc 310 injectors and they came with a set of aftermarket washers so the stock ones no longer fit. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
OEM lower injector O-rings will work. I had a RC O-ring fail on me after a year of use as well.
I replaced all four of them with OEM rings and all is fine and dandy.

well i replaced the o ring today and started it up and it is now only leaking a slight bit of gas, anybody got any ideas on why this is.
Yes there is an injector lower o-ring and there is a larger manifold o-ring and there are the O rings on top of the injectors that seal them into the fuel rail. THe large thick one rests in the manifold and the smaller ones are on the tips of the injectors. Did you pinch the smaller O-ring on the injector when you pushed it into the fuel rail?

just for clarification, i have one think o ring that sits int he manifold, and another small green o ring that is on the top of the injector where it goes into the fuel rail, please explain what you mean by pinching the injector where it goes into the fuel rail. Another question, is there supposed to be two o rings at the bottom of the injector where it goes into the manifold.
That green o-ring is the one that has failed before on an RC injector for me. IT cracked and split. But also if you are not careful when installing the injector into the fuel rail, that green o-ring can get pinched so that it won't seal.
the gas looks like it is coming from where the injector enters the manifold, i may have overtightened, would that effect the manifold o rings seal. thanks guys for all the help so far.

The injector cannot leak from from that location, unless the injector itself has a crack in the housing. That seal is a grommet (not an o-ring) to seal the manifold from vacuum leaks and position the injector, and that's all it does.
Look to the small o-rings for leaks or somewhere else on the fuel rail (ie: return regulator, feed-end banjo, etc.).
Apply a small amount of oil to the o-rings before installing the rail onto the injectors or vice versa, injectors into the rail.

thanks IN VTEC and everyone else for the info, i am going to see what i can do today and get back to you guys. thanks again.
just got done checking the top injector o rings and sure enough two of them were totally ripped up. Does anyone know where i can get an extra set of them. I am talking about the little green ones at the top of the injector that go into the fuel rail. thanks again for the help so far.
ACE Hardware has them. just go in there with an old one that is good and match the size. I had exact same problem... I don't anymore. ;-) They're less than a dollar btw.

i had the same problem i went and used my oem rings worked way better than those green things. i had a buddy start leaking gas 2 we changed his to oema dn they worked great too.
changed the injector o rings today with ones i got from a local parts shop, bolted everything up and no more gas leakage. ls vtec runnin strong again. thanks to all that have given input.
