Car starts, connects, then turns off....any idea on the problems?

Not the battery for sure, maybe the starter or alternator?

And what do you mean connects? Pretty vague description for a pretty vague problem leads to pretty vague diagnosis........

 

This happened to me a few months ago...I was puzzled for a few hours and found finally that my neg. battery cable was ripped apart. I could turn the car on but when I tried to start ..the car would flick off..I changed the cable and that was it..You also could have a starter problem among other things.
