Default OT: Finally-New Replacment for the R

After playing the waiting game for 2 weeks..I finally got it.
Flew to Tampa, and drove 9hrs back this weekend.

I couldn't find the color combo that I wanted..so i bought a White/Silver STi and have a guy waiting to Swap My Silver wheels for his Golds. So GOLDIES are on the way!
04 STi w/ 18K miles (well 18,6xx after the drive)
Enjoy

I love it but damn..I thought when i owned the R everyone wanted to ****** Race...now even Street Bikes and such wanna race.
I have a few things lined up for teh Sti but not much.Gotta chill w/ all the $$ I spend on cars. All I want are the Gold wheels!

I am on the fence right now about going to the sti or the new evo mr let me know how
you compare the r to the sti. I would be very interested. also do you lift that circle under the shift **** to go into reverse? thanks

Yes you do lift it up. On nasioc.com there was a story of some guy who was robbed at gun point for his STi but the thief didnt know how to put it into reverse.

Yes. Thats one more reason STis are better than EVOs. I believe Mitsu's version is like AVS or something like that but they didnt put it in the USDM version while Scoob did. Also the .5 more liters of displacement

MR Evo solves all of this (cept for the displacement, but they solve that with more boost).

Congrats on picking up an awesome car, you couldnt really go wrong with either...white on gold will look nice

how is the STI better than the evo??? i really would like to know. Last time i checked the EVO handles better and the lower displacement is no set back, they can run in the high 11's with the stock turbo. There are also so many more aftermarket parts available for the evo. I love the sti too ... but i dont think its better

like I said earlier the Evo MR solves all the "lackluster" spots the first usdm Evolutions had (like there was any at all)

everyone has their own opinions but in respect both are awesome cars and really there shouldnt be any argument between them, if your behind the wheel you have an awesome tool at your disposal
