i need to relace the o2 sensor on my sedan stock motor. i 'll do thin a colage but it's hard to get to the sensor. my question is how do u get to the o2 to repalce it?
from the top or bottom?

if you open the hood and take off the exhaust manifold heat shield, it is right there on the left side of the exhaust manifold. requires a really long box wrench or a special o2 socket (look at autozone) with a breaker bar. Righty-tighty, lefty-loosey. Oh yeah, disconnect negative (the one that says -) battery cable before you start to work. Have fun, stay safe, but mainly take your time.

ok but do i use a wrench on the o2 from the top (though the hood) or jack the car up and get it from the bottom?
Come on buddy, do you want me to come over your house and do it. I never said to get under your car did I? I mean we are all her to help you, but some people (like yourself) can never be helped because they should never touch a car.
Get the O2 socket.
It pays for itself when you go to install the new O2 sensor.
Make sure you have pleanty of anti-seize on it's threads before you install it.
Cutting the wire off the old one and using the regular deep socket isn't a bad idea at all. O2's that have been in there for a long time don't usually want to come out. You want the best grip on it when you try to remove it.
Using a box end wrench usually ends up with a stripped O2 sensor and then you have to grab onto that thing with a set of vice grips. No fun in that at all.
Been there - done that.
