Default right front upper control arm

On the 4th gen lude is the upper control arm and ball joint one piece or can I have one pressed in? It turns out my bearing is not bad and that it is the upper ball joint on the control arm. At the joint it rocks left to right but it looks like it is one piece.

The problem is that Honda doesn't sell the ball joints separately. They want you to buy the whole arm.

One time this guy claimed he found some miracle ball joint kit at his dealer and then he had them pressed in, but he's the only one that supposedly ever found them!

Well that sucks. Do you know how much the dealer sells them for? Like $200+ I would assume. I am gonna have to try the junkyards.

Friend of mine had it done... After little fabrication you can press Civic joint into prelude upper arm.

hey is there anyway to separate the upper control arm from the upper ball joint if the upper control arm is what's damaged (im pretty sure that is)? The upper ball joint doesn't fit snug in the upper control arm like it should (i bottomed out going really fast one time when i was drunk and the side of the upper control arm that faces away from the car got bent down a bit), a friend told me to jus get another upper control arm and everything would be gravey. WAS THAT BS? im struggling to get this finished within a week w/ limited time/resources/knowledge and all these "minor" problems are starting to add up! if anyone's got some background on tranny swaps please check out my link https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1422724
