Default how much oil for my manul tranny?

Hey dudes...i need to drian the oil from my tranny and replace it but i am not going to use i lift. i just have a floor jack. after i drain the oil, i know i am supposed to put oil in until it just starts to drain out of the filler hole, but my car is not going to be level.
so..does any one know how much oil it normally takes... (1995 honda accord EX all stock)...

p.s. she might be all stock, with 230K miles on her but i can still "drive it like i just stole it"

if you still have the manual for the car it should tell where it lists the rest of the fluid capacities if not i would go to a part store or call a dealership they should be able to tell you

Just under two quarts of MTF fluid (like 1.9 or something) for just a drain and fill.

just fill it up until it begins to come out the filler hole, should be right under 2 quarts like touringaccord said. i used a pump to put mine in. or you could take off your speed sensor on the top of your tranny and funnel it in through that hole. i have done that before. but i spent $3 on a fluid pump and it works great.

I'm sorry to Hijack your forum but I have the same question. I will be changing mine soon as well and I was wondering where can you get that pump to fill the tranny with MTF? Do places rent them... or can i just buy it? If so where?

i got my fluid pump at advance auto parts. just ask them for one, they will know what u are talking about. any auto parts store should carry one. its a little nozzle that screws onto the top of the bottle, looks kinda like a big soap dispenser nozzle
