Are there any alternative valve cover bolts that will fit the Y8 valve cover/head? Honda want $8 a piece and want me to pay shipping also. Not to mention it will take a week to get here. Any other bolts that will fit that I can pick up from like Home Depot?

P.S. I know this sounds cheap but you guys have no idea how broke I am right now

 

the valve cover bolts are the same for the d16z6, d16y8, d16y7, and d15z1. As an alternative (did it to a friends car), you can go to a place that sells bolts (hardware store) and measure out ur stock bolts (if you have at least one long one and one short one from the valve cover) and get the same thread, then just get yourself some washers to use as grommets. Did it to a friends valve cover without problems.

 

See thats the problem, the guy I got the head from didn't send the bolts. So I have no idea what size to get. Anyone want to take measurements for me?

They don't know I already called them. They don't have any in stock, but "will be glad to order me some." I even asked the service department and he said I have to ask parts.
