I can find out. This will be the first event I go to. The only way I found out about it was I followed this dude in a CW ITR while driving my wifes Si and he gave the flyer at a light. Didn't get to talk to dude much. I told him I had an ITR also but I don't think he believed it. He probably thought I wanted to follow him and jack his ride. Hopefully I will get to meet some people at the event. Dude had dual exhaust and some body kit. I guess each to his own.
danke for looking into that.
is there any place in that area i can visit mayby to check out some ppls R's get some pics and mayby get to take one out on the Autobahn? i saw one ITR last visit it was cw and in france. i had a blast on the highways even though i drove a little vw gulf.

I have only lived here for a little over a month. I am hoping to meet some people at this event. I know a couple of people here on the base that have a car club. Theres a guy with a STI and another with a Mustang Cobra. The guy with the STI is talking some smack about my ITR. If were rolling I don't think that he will vanish so easy. I haven't raced a sti yet but did race a wrx with an upgraded turbo, and intercooler along with a bunch of other goodies. From a roll'n start @ 45mph I put 2 car lenghts on him and held it to 130mph until he let off. I also beat him in an autocross in Bainbrige GA. by 4 seconds and a viper by 2 that went with us. I got owned by a maxima and neon.
I would be happy to take you for a ride, but as far as driving my R sorry. I don't think that your going to be able to find anyone that will be willing to do that. I could see what kind of rentals that would be available and pricing. I know that when I was over hear in 92 there was a place somewhere that you could rent exotics it wasn't cheap.

the problem is that most guys here haven t got the money for importing very expensive parts from japan.
is us you get plenty of exhausts and rims... and here? we also have rims but ya all know what the most look like.... vw golf rims. standard ****. all the time again.
i also prefer jdm look and say: less is more :-)

It's allmost like that ITR's in germany came with DTM exhaust and Borbet 20kg rims stock
? All of them has it... it's cheaper to keep stock rims..and exhaust..

I live like 15 minutes from where there having the meet. I am not much for car shows. In the states I allways went to the track. Sometimes I would see a couple of people I knew with fast rides in a parking lot and go over and shoot the **** for little bit. I am hoping to meet a couple of people with the same interest thats the reason I am going. I have seen enough glamour in the magazines while looking for technical articles.

When it gets closer to December e-mail me and I will give you my phone#. It doesn't take long for me to get the airport. What might be the nature of your trip?

thats sounds great! i'm going to be there for about 3 weeks, spending time with my uncle's family. seeing the land. hopefully i'll get to go in the summer time check out some shows over there. listen can you get the honda emblem that goes on the trunk lid? because i notices the ones over in europe dont have that black backing behind the letters its just the lettering so you can see the cars original color behind it.

If you are wanting the emblem for the ITR it has a red backgound. If you want a standard honda emblem I will see about getting one at a dealer. My wifes Si doesn't have a black back ground on the rear H emblem. Maybe it all depends on the year and model. Things on the economy aren't cheap here you have a 16% VAT tax on purchases and the dollar is sucking *** against the Euro. It been between .82 and .79 exchange rate.

yeah, i meant the badge that says HONDA on the upper left side of the trunk, the ones here have a black backround, over there the letters have no backround you just see the color of your car. did you import your R over there from the states? if you did you would know what i'm saying by looking at the acura badge its like what i want sept it will say honda

Yes I brought my 2001 ITR and 2000 Si over to Germany from the states. I had thought about selling both or storing the R, but I have both paid for and low mileage on both. I didn't want to get into car payments again. I had to pay to ship the civic, so I thought about selling it and getting something used here comparable in price. I mantained the civic very well so I know it will last a while where as if I bought something used here I wouldn't know for sure how well it had been mantained. I will see about the Honda emblem. My wifes Si doesn't even have one on the back. Has the civic, Si, and H though. I am glad that I brought the ITR over. It turns more heads here than in the states and when they see the Acura emblem that really throws them for a loop. I don't think they like the loud exhaust, it about makes them run off the road when I kick in the V-tec.
