I need a rack and pinion for a 90 Crx Si, I have SEARCHED but didnt find anything usefull, my question is what is a good rack and pinion, 89 Hf? could a GSR one work as well, who has done this installation themselves? Is is easy or I should just leave it to the pros to do the installation? Please help me put. I really need this info, my current Rack and pinion is driving me KRAYZIE

 

It's easy go buy one for an hf and put it in. It should take no time at all to put in the new one. Or go and find the thread about the quaiffe(sp) quick ratio rack and order one of those.

 

just don't buy a cheap remanufactured one from a local auto parts store.

Any Manual Rack from any civic from 88-91 will work. To bad I am on the east coast, I have three just sitting around. The PWR Steering rack will not fit (its bigger in diameter).

 

the HF's have quicker steering racks.

 

So the hf has quicker ratio, and is equal size/beefyness?
