How much is a 2001 ITR worth?
Hey guys, just a quick question... I am trying to sell my 2001 ITR, and I really don't know what is a fair asking price, as I see lots of high numbers, but I dont know what cars are really selling for. My car has only 2,300 miles, blk blk, completely stock, and very well kep, and I've been asking 24,000 in news papers and online, with no responses of any kind... any ideas? I mean its a mint condition brand new car, and no one seems interested.... I know the car is desirable, and I know 24,000 might be a little high to start in this market like it is, but whats good to ask, whats a good number to sell for, and how do I get people to at least respond!!! (Located in Philadelphia area)

The market is soft right now - you might wait until you get a response - or if you must sell it I would start asking around the 21K range. 24 is way too high.
Start asking at 21,000?? Good god!!! I only put 2,300 miles on the car, its brand new!!! I understand that its gonna depriciate some, but that much?? I mean if I ask21,000, im gonna have to sell in the teens by the time someone is done negotiating!! Is there any chance I can get 21,500 for the car, or am I dreaming?!? I NEED to sell the car ASAP, insurance is to high, and I found a sweet used BMW, so it needs to move, but I can get raped on the deal... the car is my baby!!

I've said this before, and it is coming from a dealer but down here the local Acura place just sold a PY w/ 18,000 miles to this dude for $23,998. It had also been involved in an accident w overspray all over it. They prob threw in a 100k warranty but anyone can go add one on your car. The dude who bought that one probably wasn't educated too well about the value of money is my guess.

Most cars depreciate 15% in their first year (which in most cases is the minute you drive it off the lot).
You are best off trying to negotiate a trade in.

I would try for '$23.5k OBO' and if you can't get more than $22k I would wait until spring. Mid winter is not a good time to sell a Type-R. $21k is too low.
You could call around some local dealers to see how much they would offer you for it. My guess is that they will offer $19k or so.

I paid $23,485 for mine brand new. $24 for what is now a used car even if it has low milage. You'll be lucky if you get that.

I guess you just have to find the right person
Keep tryin at 24k remeber they will never make the model again, 24k is not bad just give it a little while
