abs warning light after strange noise.
Hi, new member. Just bought 96 prelude si and abs light is on. Stopped at gas st. to fill up, started, light was off. I turned the wheel only to hear strange/loud noise (which sounded electrical) and the brakes were pulsating, or so it felt. The noise stopped after acceleration then abs light came back on. I pulled off the road, turned and it started with noise/pulses again, but then stopped after acceleration yet again. I bought this car 200 miles away and drove 8 hrs total today! car drove fine after abs light was on, anyone have an experience like this? Help if you can, thanks!
the pulsating sound that you are hearing is the abs trying to basically pressurize. the o-ring in the abs system may have failed (very common in abs honda's) your brakes will work fine but your abs will not kick in when you lock your wheels up. it is pretty simple to fix, there are some writeups on honda-tech.

Thanks for the reply, I will get it checked. None of the problems seem to linger, just abs light. I think you're right in saying that abs is not kickin' in though, I wouldn't really know 'cause I just bought the car and I didn't know how it performed w/ abs.. I'll post solution after it gets fixed.
