Yes, there is work (head work not being the only type) to be done to make it work. If you're simply going to slap a Vtec head on an LS block, don't waste your time. Search the forums for threads with Ls/Vtec how-to's. Otherwise, visit http://www.c-speedracing.com for direct information.

c-speedracing has the "slap on" vtec head approach. I dont know of any really good write ups... but if you email or pm me... (or check out my thread in a few days) i will have a pretty decent write up on ls-v. it requires a lot of work and money. for the power gains, it will probably be more worth your time going turbo. gl
