I have a strange noise coming from the left front wheel. Sometimes it whines, other times it sounds air coming out of tube. My husband suggested a wheel bearing. The noise is not constant but can last from 30 seconds to minutes. It can usually be heard after starting up the car, and stops when I put on the breaks. Accord has abs breaks. Has anyone had a similar problem?

 

does it sound like ur breaks are sort of "scraping" the rotors?

 

It happened today and yes it sounded like scraping. Scraping a/g the rotor doesn't sound very good, does that mean it needs to be fixed right away? Brakes worn down? I've been waiting for my husband to take a look at it but ...
