Default h23 with h22 pistons and head

would i have any piston to valve clearnace with stock cams?

h22 pistons go right on the h23 rods? or must i use h22 rods?

You have to have the H23 rods rebushed to accept the floating wristpin used on the H22 pistons.

Actually, I believe that it's the type-s pistons that are floating
wrist-pin design.

I don't think you have to rebush them with regular h22a1 pistons.

Regular H22 pistons all use floating wrist pins. Joel (Satan) will back me up on this.

so best thing to do is get a 2nd pair of h23 rods and rebrush them??? can you inform me on this process....or should i just take them to the machine shop and ask to place the h22 pistons on the h23 rods?

If you already have an H23, then you can take the rods you have now and ask a compitent machine shop to rebush them to accept a piston with a floating wrist pin.

Or you can do this to a second set of H23 rods... either way, any compitent machine shop should be able to rebush them.

aiight thanx...yeh i will buy a 2nd pair cuz i wanna do this conversion in a 1 day time period...should i go usdm h22, jdm h22, or type s pistons? this is for street application...i need it to run on pump gas

also is there a certain year i should be looking for? this guycan get me usdm h22 pistons with rods which i dont need for 99 bucks. they are from a 93, he says non floating...so im guessing these wont work..correct?

Are there any other engines that will support this ??? H blocks are $$ compared to F ..

Whats the cheapest way to do this buying used parts ?

Anything F series work ? ...

I am thinking about giving more stroke my H22

only the 97+ use floating wrist pins, the h22a1 and jdm h22a, have pressed pins
