best tranny? i would say hydro ITR tranny.

and ecu would be a tuned obd1 ecu.

 

why do you want to use a b16a head? it will lower compression...unless of course you want to go turbo...

 

If you want to use a cable tranny get the b16 cable w/lsd

 

gsr tranny with lsd, or the "r" tranny is my vote.

it is easier and more affordable for me to find a b16 head instead of a complete gsr. i know where i can get the block for 500. besides lowering the compression, is there anything wrong with using the b16 head. i want to use a ctr intake cam with it

 

The b16a head is fine, you can raise compression other ways, thats easy.
