Default How lucky we are....

I was off lurking on the Sentra SE-R board (link below) and boy are they a grumpy bunch Jeez, they are so quick to jump down people's throat's and mention a Type R and look out. lol. Heck, they think our cars run 15's in the 1/4 mile!?! So sad.....but just thought I'd share how nice it is to not have be in that type of environment.

Hey, I'd be cranky too if I was promised as car that was supposed to be equivalent to a Type-R and instead got one that was closer to a last generation Civic Si.

Wasn't that thing supposed to beat Type-Rs around road courses?

It was supposed to do a lot of things, but the only thing I know is, it's irritating a bunch of SE-R owners Seriously, though, many owners are very displeased with the cars, both from a performance and a quality perspective. Seems, these cars are having some quality issues which is making the ownership experience even less enjoyable. Oh well, let's hope H-Pimp fairs better.

Did they change it? I thought it was pretty good.

All magazine reviews to date have been fairly lukewarm. Its 1/4 mile times have been downright embarassing. Its horsepower ratings were also downgraded when it was released to 175 hp. (And after perusing that site, it seems that it has a 27 lb flywheel. Might explain a lot.)

It does not seem a bad car for the price. However, there were rumours circulating before it was released that it would be faster than a Type-R and would even beat it on a road course. Instead, the car is being compared with the new Civic Si and Focuses - i.e., it is not even close.

Pity in a way. It would have been a bargain if it were in the same league.
