Id say around 12:1.
of course you could go higher but best be on the safe side.
Tuning is also highly recommended

I have built 3 B20 VTEC's, all with 12.5:1 pistons. One using JE's, and the other two using CP's. No problems, except for a little detonation on really hot days (South Texas!), but I just retard the ignition a few degrees. It has been said that a well tuned Honda can push 13.0:1 compression and be daily driven. I stick to 12.5:1, and use Eagle H-beam rods.
