question about O2 sensor.
im throwing a cel 45, so i figured its the primary O2 sensor. So i take out the sensor and notice the tip/probe is white. Is that normal, shouldnt it be black or grey? What do you guys think?
CEL code 45 is for system too rich or too lean. and usually when the spark plugs are really white thats a sign of a lean a/f mixture. i'm guessing that applies to the 02 sensor too. what mods do u have on ur car? i threw that same CEL code last week. i had my SAFC leaned out by about 5-8% on all the rpm points. i reseted all of them back to stock (0%) and reset my ECU. that code hasnt come back since. u might be running lean
just have a drag turbo kit, with an sfmu. I've been running fine for more then a year. last week I started to get bad throttle response, terrible bogging. Then it threw the code.
u might be running lean. get an a/f ratio gauge if u dont have already and check to see what ur running. the a/f gauge isnt too accurate but it will tell if ur running lean. sounds to me like u r. richen up ur motor. get it tuned
