Underside sealant
I just went up to Tahoe for some snowboarding with my car and I unexpectedly had to put on some chains (damn you weather.com!). However, since my car is lowered to boot, the chains wound up slapping a small section of my wheel well and exposing bare sheetmetal.
My question is what do I use to recoat that area so that it doesn't corrode?

You can buy spray undercoating from any autosupply shop. You will have to dry and clean the area first though.
You used snow chains on a Type R? I can't believe you actually did that.

you put chains on an integra?! lol little extreme off roading eh? go with some good snow tires, save your paint.
Lo and behold, we wake up sunday and it's snowing! So I didn't have much of a choice...
Even with snow tires, chains are required. You need to have snow tires AND 4 wheel drive to be exempt from chains. But the snow tires they refer to are the all season type, so go figure...
I'd be concerned that if you merely undercated the wheel wells the undercoating would eventually let water through to the bare metal.
Think about cleaning up the wheel wells and puting in a brushed on layer of Rustoleum primer followed by brushed on Rustoleum black. When it has hardened up, then give it a layer of a spray can of rubberized undercoating. Nice sound deadener too.
BTW, i recently sprayed the underside of the body hump over the exhaust system and the underbody shields and it cut down on interior noise. It is now possible to have a conversation while the car is driving down the road. I also found out that the radio actually works and even has a half-way decent sound.

That's a great idea! Thanks for the tip. What brand/kind of rubberized undercoating did you use?
Now this is why I post in the ITR forum. NOBODY has responded in the regular Integra forum.
