Default turbo a6..anyone got a set-up

wsup, right now im in the phase of swap or turbo..i just want my car in the 13's daily driven for now.. soo far i have a a6,55 shot of zex wet kit, h/i/e ,msd upgrade 2" piping stage 2 clutch...im running somewhere in the 14mids and want to know what i have to do internally to be able to boost 7psi with the above set-up without kaablooom on my motor...also would that get in somewhere in the mid 13s?? thank you...i would also appreciate those who like to share their set-up on there car

talk to sporkcrx. he's done turbo d-series **** quite a bit using the d16a6.

i read both the A6 on the homemadeturbo. but they dont talk about internals of there motor..i dont know..am i reading the wrong page?

Internals are fine up to 12 psi as long as you tune away from Detonation and overheating.
Proly even more with a more sophisticated Fuel Management system.

what would i have to do to tune away from detonation? ...soo with the set-up i have whats a save psi i can boost to?

since you have a d16a6 you can use turboedit, rom editor, assuming you're still obd0. With bigger injectors you can dyno tune it or get a wideband a/f gauge and egt to street tune safely. A lot of guys here have the latter, I can't afford it yet.

Talk to xenocron or turboef9, they're the guys pushing turboedit and street tuning

to tune away from detonation, you could use a thicker head gasket, thats probably the cheapest way, you could use a y8 gasket i think or just get a thick copper one, those are nice but expensive i hear. if you have money go with low compression pistons. on a stock internal d-series its very safe to run 8-10 lbs of boost since they are one of the most reliable honda engines. could be wrong about the y8 though, look into it more.
