I'm looking into picking up a '91 DX hatch and I'm having a really hard time figuring out the weight of the vehicle. I have searched through the archives but came up with nothing for a 1991 DX specifically. Also, does anyone know exactly what options the DX had that the STD didnt in '91? From what I've seen ALL '91 DX's had a 5 speed tranny or 4 speed AUTO. My friend had an '89 DX but his came with a 4 speed, no tach, and no driver side mirror. I thought that would make it a STD. Am I wrong? What other options did the DX have over the STD besides the motor/tranny?

Sorry for the 101 questions and believe me, I've searched.

FYI: The vehicle I'm interested in is Obvoiusly a '91 DX w/a '98 d16y7 motor around 30k on the swap. The body and interior seems to be pretty clean with minimal rust. Otherwise the car is 100% stock and just recently got new tires. The guy seems pretty firm on price ($1500) This will be my daily driver. What do you guys think? Keep in mintd that I live in Wisconsin where rust OWNS EF's and from what I've heard this hatch seems pretty clean. Just looking for your two cents.

Anyone got any info on the options and differences in models between the DX and STD in '91?

 

Well i got a 91 dx and i had a 4 speed manual and i know the ****** aint got no A/C like it matter the motor i got now it wouldn't fit anyways

D15B2 - 92hp vs D15B1 - 70 hp
DX adds:
Cloth seats and door garnishes, body color bumpers in 91 only, rear wiper, rear cargo cover / shelf, center console, rear cargo light, wheelcovers in 91 only, red rear tail garnish, automatic tranny option.

 

i had an std and for the longest time thought that it was a dx, like many people think their stds are a dx, std's have the 4speed, i dont think that dx had a 4 speed tranny. STD has absolutely no options at all, cig lighter, tach, ac, none of the above

ALL '91 DX's had color matched bumpers? huh, this one has black ones but he says its a DX.

Ask if the bumpers were replaced? I would say check out the engine code but its swapped.

 

My Dx has leather seats and a black tail garnish so i dunno
